  2. AMELIA OLIVEIRA says:

Michael is magic, will always be, with a magical aura, a gift. That music “GIVE IN TO ME” brings me back memories, where I was the first time I saw and heard that music. UNFORGETTABLE. I love that song, and many others. I have to say that I´m blessed to live in this era, when the most beautiful angel walked among us. The people that surround me, my friends and family, all know about my devotion and love for Michael Jackson. I´ve never heard a bad word about Michael, and even if they are not huge fans as I am, there´s one song in almost every hearts,”EARTH SONG,” loved by many. When they ask “WHAT IS VITILIGO?” I try to explain and show them. I hope one day I can have in my hands the “MICHAEL JACKSON CONSPIRACY” by Aphrodite Jones but in Portuguese so I could spread the truth. MICHAEL JACKSON will always be the most amazing, generous, incredible person that ever walked in this earth. I still miss him terribly. I WILL ALWAYS LOVE YOU, MICHAEL JACKSON

  3. Arden says:

Oprah like so many others did this interview for ratings. Even in MJs death it was all about ratings. She, like so many others who did these interviews, with the exception of a few, did not know how much of an honor it was to do an interview with him. I wish I had met him.

  4. Rhonda says:

I remember this interview. It was really great. I think Oprah regrets not getting to know Michael better in the following years thinking she might have been able to help him in some way. I think she could have helped with more interviews. Exposing his true self more to the world as so many thought him weird and messed up. He was just a true artist and sometimes they can be pretty different. I know, I have always been attracted to the artsy type.

  5. Jules says:

I watched this interview back in 1993 and felt that Michael did an excellent job of explaining what he wanted to explain and politely telling Oprah certain things were none of her business. He had so much class and was never unkind or impolite. It saddened me later that she would make fun of him with Diane Sawyer and then Lisa Marie and her mother. Oprah could have shown some class herself and not said anything unkind about him or ask questions of Lisa Marie during her bitter phase that were hurtful just to get laughs. Then her “tribute,” which I watched hoping it would be something great, was just clips from this interview and her talking about her feelings while doing the interview. I wish that she had done some type of show before he died having Tom Mesereau and others on to get it out to the public how he was a victim of extortion. I saw on Aphrodite Jones’ website that after she self-published her book because no publisher would touch a pro-Jackson book, that she attempted to get on shows like Oprah, Dateline, GMA and others and even the Steve Harvey radio show (which totally shocked me) and there was absolutely no interest by these shows and/or people to have her on and talk about her book. WHAT A SHAME and shame on those people including Steve Harvey for not allowing that before Michael died!

  6. CAF says:

Oprah should be ashamed of herself. When she asked Michael if he was a virgin, because she “just wanted to know,” I wish Michael had said to her, “you know Oprah, that’s none of your business and I want to know if you have ever asked any of your other guests that question?” I am sure the answer is no. It’s all about ratings for her. She was not a friend to him in life nor in death. Michael deserved so much from her and from us all.

  7. Elizabeth says:

People like Oprah make me sick. She knows how the media works. Yet she proved to be just as stupid and uninformed as the rest of the idiots who believe the trash in the media. Wasn’t she called a lesbian? Yet she used her show to deny it and tell people not to believe the tabloids, but the same logic doesn’t apply to Michael? Come on! Remember her beef trial? She was found not guilty. Why should we not just as easily believe she was guilty. That’s what she believes of Michael. Not guilty only applies to her, I guess. She called Whitney Houston a “national treasure” on her show this past September. Whitney’s great, but please Oprah, get your priorities straight. Michael was and always will be the “treasure” and not just national. He was/is a “global treasure” that was mercilessly tortured by evil people in this world. I wish Oprah would do a show on Michael and finally get some truth and justice for him! Get Tom Mesereau, Aprhodite Jones, Geraldine Hughes, maybe even some LAPD officers who felt he was being railroaded. Show Tom Sneddon’s prosecutorial misconduct and the way he dealt with members of the press (hello, Diane Dimond). For God’s sake, Michael and his family deserve this!

  8. AMELIA OLIVEIRA says:

Estou sem palavras.Esperava algo diferente.Nada. Ainda hoje me pergunto, o porquê daquelas perguntas.
    SAUDADES ETERNAS

  9. DRB says:

I refuse to focus on Oprah. Having said that, I think Michael was and continues to be the most beautiful person to ever grace this pathetic world. I also wish I had met him while he was here with us. However, he’s one of the people I’m definitely looking forward to seeing in Heaven.

  10. heidi says:

All i can say is that i love Michael Jackson even more now then before. We need to flood the internet with blogs like this so people will pay attention. I think Michael emanates grace and angelic-like beauty and I just wish more people would get that. I think Oprah felt Michael’s kindness and had a different opinion altogether of him after that interview.
I love u Michael, may God bless you and may you rest in peace!

  11. Patty says:

I believe Michael’s vindication will remain on the internet only. Mainstream media will never allow the world in general to hear them admit that every report they made on Michael was wrong and every so-called “expert” on their programs either lied or knew nothing about this wonderful man! I am particularly disappointed in Oprah as I thought she would be the one to at least speak to him after the allegations before deciding along with the rest of the media that he was guilty. He said in his interview with her “don’t believe what you hear and read until you have had a discussion with the person involved.” She could at least have interviewed him again or spoken to Mr. Mesereau. Again, ratings and the almighty dollar comes first. It would be interesting to see the reaction of these same people if they were being falsely charged with a horrible crime. I would LMAO… JUST REMEMBER WHAT GOES AROUND COMES AROUND! I personally find the media to be very disgusting, greedy and they lie without a thought for the devastation it could have on an innocent person’s life… as long as they have ratings and money. My love to Michael, his family and his true friends.

  12. Carolyn says:

this is one of my favorite videos…i love this but i do think that all of these talk show hosts that was with michael did him an injustice because all they did was put words in his mouth and never let him finish his sentences and would cut michael off in the middle of his spoken word of explinations…what was personal in his own life was his alone to discuss and not for other people to poke and brawd for information that was none of their business let alone the public’s people deserve privacy of their own life even if it is michael jackson and to insinuate things that were not and never the truth because michael didnt answer correctly or told people that it is private and i dont want to discuss it was truely and definately michael jackson’s right and his personal business…! he didn’t hurt anybody and he was trying to make a world a better place and people didn’t like that or they were so jealous of him that they would make up stuff that would never be or took what he did and turned it into a hidious crime that never was…and to take something so innocent like give to hurting children and sick children and give them a life and michael giving them what he never had they had very sick minds and demented minds…these people killed michael….they may have killed the man but michael’s spirit will live forever…!

  13. Patty says:

I never understood why people seem to think as a celebrity, you are not entitled to some privacy. I don’t care what your station is in life, everyone deserves some privacy in their life. Why should MJ be any different. Aspiring to be the best at your craft does NOT entitle the public to delve into the most private aspects of anyone’s life. It’s interesting that the demands made on MJ were never and would never be made of other famous people. It’s almost as if he were expected to jump at everyone’s request. Why should he? As Michael has always said, the bigger the star, the bigger the target. All who hurt him through the years, keep in mind that there is something called Karma, and it is a very powerful force to reckon with. Remember that every time there is even a thought of hurting or harming someone. I’m right now listening to his song “Gone Too Soon.” Already I am tearing up. I am dedicated to the fight for total vindication for Mike and I will not rest until this is done. My heart hurts forMJ.

  14. CRB says:

A good reply to Oprah’s “are you a virgin?” question in my opinion would be something to the effect of, “does it matter? does it *really* matter?” and then, of course, if I’d been in Michael’s shoes, I’d have grilled her for asking it and, like you suggested, asked her how many of her other guests she asked such a question to.

I have no respect for Oprah left, and to be honest, I can’t *wait* for her to end her show.

  15. Regina from Brazil says:

I think Oprah is disgusting, uneducated and uninformed. The worst thing is that she finds herself very funny! This is the danger, a person with power in the media, finding herself funny, is ignorant and does everything to achieve high levels of audience. This is evil, nothing more than malice. The times she interviewed Michael in the studio and at Neverland, she would not let him finish speaking, did not hear the answers and asked constrained questions; this is evil. Michael could even discuss his health problems if the interview was conducted with gentleness and respect. But that was not what happened. Most importantly for her is joking! About being a virgin. What man or woman would answer that question in a television program? my God! The result is that Michael was embarrassed and those who love him are embarrassed too, because it hurts to watch.

I don`t say Michael “rest” because i know his soul is now working at spiritual healm to better the world he so wanted to reach.

  16. Patty says:

How interesting is it that Michael was severely criticized for settling the first allegation. Now Oprah has suddenly found herself settling a lawsuit out of court. Now is it that she IS guilty… why did she settle? If Michael was guilty for settling then SO IS SHE. What’s good for the goose…

  17. Susan says:

Patty, I have just written a letter to Oprah asking her to invite Aphrodite Jones, Charles Thomson and Tom Mesereau on her program before she leaves the air. I doubt it will happen, but I am trying everything to help get the truth out there. And you are so right … that is one of the points I touched on. The old double standard. It seems others are more innocent than others! I also asked if she wouldn’t do that to at least do a show on people who have been falsely accused of child molestation which I believe is just as devastating to an innocent person as a child that has been molested. As I said, probably it will go nowhere, as Oprah already has her mind made up. She was found not guilty during her Texas trial and she settled her defamation suit. Michael is found not guilty and he also settles a suit; same outcome – different results.

  18. Laura says:

The cruelty with what Michael was treated makes me puke. I’ve never seen such a huge public humiliation as they did to him. It hurts me, as well as other millions of fans, deep in our hearts since the whole scandal began, because it has been the biggest public humiliation, with the helping hand of the media of course. the same media who raised him, broke him down.
It is particularly sad to me that most people were not able to see the kind of person he is. All people want to see is evil. They are not able anymore, to see someone good and get inspired, admire him, learn from him. He was good, he cared about people, he was a genius, he was a peaceful, gentle, polite and well educated person. He inspired me, as well as millions, because he is one of the most beautiful souls that lived in our times. And the way he was humiliated, and mocked, is very painful to us, and we have no idea how painful it had to be to him and his family. One can only take so much. All those who hurt him, and Michael making them money, and still now he’s still making them money.
Michael said that we should learn from each other. But all people do is destroy eachother. And they didn’t stop until they destroyed him. Please Michael forgive them, because i can’t.

  19. Laura says:

Michael, i know you want us to focus on making the world a better place, and not on you. But you are our inspiration. You are my inspiration since i was ten years old. I learned english, i became more peaceful, i studied, i enjoyed dancing and music and so many other things because of you! You gave all your life, giving yourself all the time. I only wish we had the chance to show you that true friends, good friends could exist in your life. I would have loved to be your friend, and im sure many others too. There are so many people that truly love you and would have loved to be near you without any intentions of betraying you. I am so sorry that you trusted the wrong people so many times. It happened to me too, that’s why i can understand you in many ways. I only want you to know that there are many of us that remember you every day since a long time, we are inspired by you and your legacy goes much further than your music. I miss you so much, i love you so much. Thank you for everything you have done, all the love you showed, all the music you made, thank you for your kindness, thank you for all your smiles, and for being who you are. I love you forever more.

  20. Patty says:

Another interesting fact about MJ and Oprah. She was crying on her show yesterday 5/13 as she explained that her abuse as a child (beatings by her grandma) played a huge role in her weight problems. She also explained that her abuse lead to a need to always satisfy others. You would think then that she, of all persons, would have understood Michael. The fact that he just really wanted to give his best and simply be loved in return.I guess we should all empathize with her . However, she could not find it in her heart to empathize with MJ knowing what he endured, having gone through similar experiences as a child.
