I must say that I have “always” agreed that “Mark B.” was/is responsible for “everything” that has and did happen to Michael! “IT ALL STARTED WITH MARK B.!” There is NO question in my mind that “IF” it had NOT been for Mark B., “WE WOULD HAVE MICHAEL HERE WITH US TODAY!” Since the min. that Mark B. did what he did to Michael, I have NEVER watched Mark B. since! It saddens me so, that NO-ONE is putting these pieces together! As we ALL know Michael was fine until, “Mark B.” double crossed/betrayed Michael! I have and did see this REAL STORY shortly after the Mark B. interview aired, I only wish that “SOMEONE” had put this “REAL STORY” on that very next week!!!!!!!!!! OR, the week that “Mark B.” was airing his so called story! I truly believe that Micheal was one of the RARE GIFT’s that God’s gives to us and this world! And, so many people are never happy until they destroy “THOSE GIFTS” from “GOD”!
I do however believe with my entire heart that, People/Mark B./Dr. Murray/ALL who did this, will PAY for what that did to “GOD’s GIFT” to this world!” IF not here, in their death! Michael will live forever in all of our hearts! HE will never be forgotten! “So many people in this world are never happy until they destroy, “GOD’s GIFT’s” to this “WORLD”! May Michael’s Family someday, have peace and the justice that they to deserve! “God bless the Jackson Family and Michael’s Precious Children!”

Michael will be remembered as a loving, honest, humble, beautiful man and entertainer in my eyes! He will live in my heart forever! Michael’s dancing has inspired my son, who is mildly autistic, to come out of his shell and dance like Michael in front of anybody anytime! I know without a doubt that God has used this wonderful angel, Michael Jackson to reach my son in this way! I heard Michael say once in a interview that” he would die a happy man if he just help change one child’s life for the better.” Well, Michael died a happy man because he has done wonders for my son and reached him in a way that nobody else could! What a dishonest weasel and complete and utter jerk, Bashir was and still is. To have done this to another human being as calliously as he did, makes me totally and utterly sick to my stomach. How dear he. Well, he will have alot to answer for when his time is up on this earth thats for sure….He should not have been aloud to carry on as a journalist in any form after the dishonesty shown in this documentry in my opinion, it’s the likes of Bashir, the Chandlers and the Arviso’s that destroyed and eventually killed our dear sweet Michael and unfortuatly it took Michael Jackson to die before people began to believe in his innocents. Thankyou Maury Povich for showing us the truth surrounding this programme. So sorry Michael is not here to be vindicated in every way.

People such as this cannot extoll others’ greatness but rather have to tear it down to make them feel better, more important. I know that if the media hadn’t painted such a one sided picture of Michael Jackson that he may still be with us today. The lies that they told about him led to the circumstances that caused his death. However, it is my hope that they will try to paint a more realistic picture of him. I know that he had a meek and gentle soul. And of the negative things that I’ve heard about him, especially since he’s passed on, I believe maybe about 1/16th of. This is what I’ve come to realize since June 25, 2009 – “The more love you shower on others, the more you’ll be despised. The less other people know about you, the more lies they’ll make up about you. The more freely you give to others in a spirit of genuine charity the more those who lack that same spirit will steal from you. The more exceptional your talent is, the more mud others will attempt to heap on to your accomplishments.” Because of the awesome truths I’ve learned about Michael Jackson as well as his frailties I desire to do more to make a positive impact. I believe within my heart of hearts that God got his sweetheart back. It’s just a shame that those of us who adore him had to suffer with the guilty. The Jacksons are on my mind and in my prayers.

I’m glad I saw this first and not the Bashir’s stuff. I remember how (I was about 7 years old) I thought how someone could do this to someone else and that MJ seemed so sweet and of course I wanted to go to Neverland too.
I believe Bashir represents everything that is wrong in today’s media world.
Michael will always be the True King of Pop and never forgotten also because of his charity work and sheer benevolence towards animals and human beings.
Thankfully the ones closest to him knew the truth about the child molestation charges.
But I’m happy that as he said he told his kids “I love you more” every single day. May his music and memory shimmer in our hearts forever.

Michael was a fantastic human being with an amazingly beautiful soul! He was God’s sparkly little messenger! He was sent here to teach us about LOVE, healing, taking care of each other and our planet. He gave us so many messages through his song lyrics. He also gave us so many hours of joy through his entertainment. He made our lives better. I have been his fan for 38 years and counting. I sang Rockin Robin when I was 7. I had a teenage crush on him when I was 15, which was in the 70s when white girls were not supposed to like black guys. I got a lot of flack for that, but it didn’t matter to me. I love him still and will love him until the day I die. Animals are treated more humanely than Michael was when he was with us on this Earth. Now he is our giggly, funny, adorable guardian angel. He is entertaining God now, and I will see him on the other side.

BTW, The Take 2 special was aired, but it didn’t get nearly the ratings as Bashir’s trash. Many people just wanted to believe the worst. Take 2 should be aired again though, more people will probably watch now that he is dead, which is a sad commentary on the state of humanity. Spread the word to vindicate Michael!

I’m certain that you could boast interesting accomplishments as a reporter. I have not checked. I did, however, see your special on Michael Jackson. I also just now saw “Take Two” on the subject. To call you Judas would be an insult to that disciple. He at least felt guilty enough to have hung himself. It is just completely pathetic how the media only shows what it wants. But I really do not understand why Michael has always been harped on. Forgive me for saying it this way, but the poor man couldn’t even move without some kind of speculation or question of intent. It is absolutely disgusting. And I still do not understand how it happened. It was like one minute there were no problems in Michael’s life and the next minute – BAM! – the volcano’s erupted and ash, soot, and lava oozing onto every part of his life. I remember when all of the allegations started. I remember feeling so sad for him and I still do. I don’t think what he faced was fair. That is why I pray Michael finally has peace. He definitely never had any while he was alive. And you know, I don’t blame him for putting on disguises so he could sit in a crowd and a be a person. SO WHAT that he was “MICHAEL JACKSON”. He was first and foremost, Michael Jackson: a person. We all need a break sometimes. Don’t we? How was he supposed to get his relaxation if he wasn’t capable of going anywhere without a crowd? I am sure his life was great, in ways. And I’m sure fame is great. But it gets old. Could anyone possible imagine not being able to walk down a grocery isle and pick up a box of fruit loops without being bombarded. Sharpton was right, Michael wasn’t strange. Karma dictates that those who pursued Micheal without bothering to research and consider the truth such as Tom Sneddon, Diane Dimond, Martin Bashir along with others who were more interested in promoting their ignorance under the guise of reporting will be held accountable. They should be made to feel the horror of guilt and the panic of shame because they condemned an innocent man. They should cry out ‘Oh my God he was innocent what have I done!!’. Common sense should have shown that people who have nothing to hide can be natural and naive in their honesty about sleepovers whereas real devils are secretive, manipulating and do not use publicly aware sleepovers but rather in places like churches, scouting trips or the neighbours house. Wake up to your ignorance you dont need a bed to be an abuser. They allowed the greed of Evan Chandler and Janet Arvizo to create sensationalism to make them feel important. Karma will come.

I am 70 yrs young, and I have followed Michael’s career since I first saw him on the Ed Sullivan show, I have always enjoyed his music and so have my children, and my grandchildren. I never saw the original Bashir junk, but I am glad Maury Povich did this. The more I see of this world the more I dislike it. How could they have tried to destroy Michael, he never hurt anyone. I listen to the words of his songs very carefully, and they are not dirty, nor filthy, nor with sexual inuendo like some entertainers have now. Some people will sell their soul for success. Michael never did, he always kept it clean. The Bashirs and all those other hateful people will one day answer to God for their disservice to this wonderful human being. I have told my great grand children about Michael and what a wonderful entertainer he was, and I have them listen to his music, so there is another generation in my family which is # 4 that will love Michael and listen to his music. They will never destroy Michael’s memory, his success, his entertainment, and his music. I hope his children will be blessed, and follow in their father’s footsteps. I never did see Living with Michael Jackson until today. It’s sad to see that people, for the sake of a dollar, would twist things up so bad and ruin someones immage. I love Michael Jackson and think his private life is none of our business. I’m not stupid to think he has never done anything wrong, after all he was human, but all the good things he has done outweigh any of the wrong by a long shot. All he has tried to do his whole life was to teach us love, kindness, inspiration, and entertain us while teaching us to heal the world. That is what is important to me. Not what he ate, how he slept, what he did in the shower, and so on. Through all the wonderful things he’s done, He is a TRUE inspiration. It really saddens my heart that they still can’t let him be. Makes me ashamed sometimes to be a human when it’s more entertaining to break someone down, then it is to build them up. We lost a wonderful person, and there is a void in our hearts from his passing. I love him and miss him every day.

ABC’s Good Morning America had a series on this week (March 8, 2010) with three of Michael’s closest bodyguards. They defended Michael stating that somebody had to stand-up for him. The series was very interesting and positive toward Michael. Here is the link:

Was this tape ever shown? This tape deffinately should have been shown after the fake one. This is horrible. I never thought Michael was guilty for anything, but I see that so many young people, and i’m 16 by the way, So many young people grew up knowing the bad things people have said about Michael. They hear all the false crap people say about him and they judge him on that. It sickens me and it hurts me to hear some of them say stupid shit about him. I try to defend him as much as possible. Some people don’t understand that before Michael was a celebrity he was human. Point Blank. He hurt just like everyone else. If you cut him he bled like everyone else. Ich möchte in diesem Forum ja nicht übertreiben, aber Michael Jacksons Leben erinnert mich doch irgendwie an das eines Mannes, der ans Kreuz geschlagen wurde. Nur in Form einer modernen Zeit. Dieser Eindruck entstand in mir, als ich mir mehrere Interviews anschaute und dachte: Mein Gott, so einen lieben Menschen gibt es doch gar nicht. Diese Ehrlichkeit in seinen Worten; diese Ehrlichkeit, die er ausstrahlte; seiner Sensibilität in sich, der er ausgeliefert war. Viele Botschaften hat er uns gebracht. Er hat sich nicht nur von seinem Ruhm gelebt, sondern hat damit versucht die Welt zu verbessern, das Leid zu mindern; mehr Liebe in unsere Herzen zu bringen. Er wurde gebrochen, gedemütigt, verleumdet…er wurde zerstört. Er hat sich für eine Minderheit und Gleichbehandlung eingesetzt; für Kinder. Jeder Mensch auf dieser Welt war in seinem Herzen das gleiche wert. “Liebe Deinen Nächsten wie Dich selbst” und dies sollten wir in unseren heutigen Zeit auch mal wieder tun. Auch sein Tod hatte einen Sinn, auch wenn wir ihn vielleicht jetzt noch nicht voll erkennen können. Ja, ich glaube er ist im Himmel und singt mit den Engeln und hat nun endlich seinen Frieden. I feel so devastated about Michael Jackson’s passing! I am an Asian, living in the western world for quite some time now. I have fallen in love with MJ’s music since my arrival. Ever since then, I have been more aware of Michael Jackson. Unfortunately, most comments or articles I read about him were ‘trash’ but I was not convinced. I have done a lot of research about who Michael Jackson really was. He was the most genuine, kindhearted, caring and loving person anyone could ever imagine. Considering how much he achieved in life, he still remained very kindhearted and down to earth. I really feel bad that with all the powerful people that claimed to be friends with him, they never really gave full support to Michael Jackson during his downtime. Michael did all his best to dodge all the wrong accusations the media brought on him. I miss him and his talent. I strongly believe that He was a God gift to us. But because we practically crucified him with all the wrong accusations, God decided to take that gift away from us. I am honoured to live during Michael Jackson’s lifetime here on earth. I remember watching the news coverage of his trial and thinking how cruel can they (the media) be? Since then, I have not purchased any of those magazines that lied about him and although I watched the tv coverage I would turn down the volume because I knew they would have only negative things to say. I didn’t want to hear it but I wanted to see my MJ. Since his death, I have added his books and more of his dvds and cds to my already extensive collection of Michael Jackson. I am so thankful for him having walked this earth during my lifetime. I will treasure his memory for ever. Also, I believe in karma. Those who hurt others for 15 minutes of fame, money, or for no reason at all will learn about that in time. The only thing that matters is God knows Mike’s goodness to all and malice towards none. Michael has said it himself many times, “Good news doesn’t sell!” The Gossip Media and Bashir is just as bad, if not worse, have always instigated and manipulated words etc. to sell a story. Having said that, I give massive props to Maury for wanting to tell the TRUTH and let the public viewers decide for themselves. Michael adores his children and loves all children. I’ve always know he was 150% innocent, no doubt in my mind whatsoever. As he said, “I would rather slit my wrists than hurt a child.” His children are bright, loving, caring and Michael has brought them up to be just like him, an honest, warm and loving man/father. I know, I remember how much I suffered knowing how media/comedians, average common people would TURN just about EVERY LITTLE FACT, they were SHAMELESS, those days to a person as sensitive as I am, and I was 15 years old, God knows how much I suffered since all that stupidity started until it ended, YET when it ended with Michael’s vindication MEDIA NEVER ENDED IT. THEY CONTINUE MAKING THE WORST CHARACTER ASSASINATION I HAVE EVER SEEN IN MY LIFE, TWISTING EVERYTHING, I don’t even wanna remember.

It just killed me, nobody knows how much it affected me. No one knows, no one. My relatives maybe, they saw how I changed from beeing super positive to losing my faith on many many many MANY things and to realize this world is full of cr*p. That for instance, that is a word I used to not use, but that whole situation is BEYOND UNJUST. Many people just want to think bad things about Michael and I don’t want to have anything to do with it. So when they would say anything about Michael i would say “did you know him personally?” and that’s all.

Now with Michael’s passing, it is like the final part, they just won, media wanted it …. what more can I say. I have no faith now; he was my inspiration, now he’s gone and forever. I know all he had to go through just to get sleep has a lot to do with all of what the media did to him. And now he can’t ever come back.

I first saw these videos on YouTube after Michael’s death on 25 June 2009 and I was just as shocked and sickened as others who have commented. In my opinion, Martin Bashir has no integrity as a journalist and is a two-faced backstabber. Aphrodite Jones’ book, The Michael Jackson Conspiracy, does a darn good job of exposing the bias in the media reports on the trial. She did her research and published the book on her own because even though she was a respected author and journalist she could not find a publisher who would publish the book. Jennifer Batten, Michael’s lead guitarist on his Bad, Dangerous and HiStory world tours, said during the trial she was contacted by several “journalists” who wanted her to give them some dirt on Michael. When she repeatedly told them she didn’t have anything bad to say about Michael the media finally quit calling her. I think she also said that after he died she was also contacted, but the media didn’t want any of the good things she said about him and so they didn’t print any of her comments. I read on the GearSlutz blog (recording engineers) where people who worked with Michael said only nice things about him and that they didn’t believe he would ever hurt any child. I believe that a few people such as Liz Taylor, Donald Trump, Lionel Richie, etc. defended him, but the media didn’t want those comments and downplayed the good things that were said about Michael. May MJ Rest in the Peace he deserves. May God protect his children…

I distinctly remember Elizabeth Taylor defending Michael on Larry King’s program around the time of his trial. I thought what a brave lady, as no one else would publicly come out and stand with Michael at a time when he really needed people to speak up. No wonder he loved her. She didn’t care what people thought of her. She only cared for her friend who was being falsely accused. I also remember people making fun of her for doing so. Michael and Elizabeth – two brave, honest, inspiring people. Maybe others spoke up for him that we did not hear about, but I thought more should have come out at the time on Oprah or Larry King and defended him. I would think one would have been honoured to do so. Staying silent at a time like that to me is the equivalent of saying – “I have doubts”. I have followed Michael for his whole 40 year career and I never had any doubt that he was a beautiful soul falsely accused by evil scum.

I am truly glad to have watched these videos and always knew Michael was a wonderful human being. The tabloids and the media can be so damaging. He must have gone through more than what anyone of us can imagine. Now he is gone and people still are convinced he was a child molester. Being as successful as he was gave a lot of people an excuse to trash him. I wish I could have seen him in concert when I was an adult but did see him at a state fair with the Jackson 5 group. He was a human being just like everyone else and definitely didn’t deserve the kind of treatment he got from the tabloids. He was a child of God and I sincerely hope that he is in heaven singing with the angels. When people like Michael Jackson do wonderful gestures and things for others why does the media want to attack that person and spread awful gossip and dirt about them. It is too bad we couldn’t have helped Michael when he was alive but a lot of times things turn out this way. I wish I could have met him because he sounded like a beautiful human being. I am so disturbed and in such shock. Although I knew that this interview was “fixed’,I never knew these true tapes existed. The first thing that came to mind was why didn’t someone from Michael’s side review it first before it was aired and next, if that wasn’t possible, WHY WASN’T THIS TRUE TAPE SHOWN AFTER THE FALSE ONE? Just this small step could have saved Michael, his family and friends the grief and humiliation endured at this time and beyond. And maybe it could have prevented some of the heartache that followed….I remember the time when I watched that interview very clearly~getting my hopes up, anticipating that it would show the world (and me) the best side of Michael and his living space, only to be “let down’ with disbelief wondering how could Michael’s staff agree to such a negative interview.T hank you for showing us the truth. I never ever doubted Michael and I believe that God above is now comforting him in his arms and although I’ve never had the chance to meet Michael, I thank God for putting me on this earth with him. I feel blessed.

I never saw the second video, but intend to watch intently. I watched Bashier’s trash and was ashamed to have done so. Why didn’t Micheal’s friends come more strongly to his defense during this whole shameful ordeal? Michael was destroyed by the trial and moved out of this country and away from his legions of American fans. His creative soul was stripped from his body. He took his three young children and fled, even though he was an INNOCENT MAN! What does that say about us as Americans? Why do we listen to the filth and distortions? Michael was the most creative, talented, humanitarian person this world will ever know. We miss him dearly and always will. I am a 60 year old grandmother whose sons revered MJ during their youth; they cannot even bear to think of the circumstances surrounding his death. Media has such a great power to build / to destroy lives. What was aired most was those that put Michael in a bad name. But we rarely see those that were defending him. All that is on your conscience. Michael is in a better place now, & we will do all that we can for his legacy. I am very sorry that we are too late in taking actions for Michael. Bashir was there to ruin Michael, not too reveal the truth. Michael trusted him, opened his “world” allowed full access for Bashir and his crew. But Bashir used that advantage and started to ruin Michael. He is an artist; artists think differently than others – which people don’t understand. Michael was a humanitarian, not a “wacko”. And after seeing this I don’t understand why this idiot Bashir is still employed. They should fire that idiot and he should never be allowed to give interviews.

Now that Michael is no longer in this world Bashir and all those other tabloid “journalists” who ruined him feel sorry.

My last words are that the tabloids should leave Michael alone. It’s his own personal life and it’s no one else’s concern.

I have read the responses so far and watched the videos, all which I find extremely powerful and moving. I strongly agree with everyone’s views and emotions. When I watched a fabulous-looking Michael say “See you in July” after announcing the O2 concerts, I, too, sadly, had a strange premonition and sad doubts. When I heard he died, I fell apart. I bought posters, cds, dvds, magazines, books. I saw “This Is It” and his memorabilia exhibition in London. I, too, hope strong action can be taken against media journalists like Martin Bashir who dished the dirt, empowered by a tidal wave of opinion. I defend MJ vigorously to everyone, am sending money to save sick or needy children, and the rain forests. I have emailed someone who writes on Michael Jackson’s Official Website’s Memories Page and told her about this site, the videos and commentary in support of his innocence and the truth about him and his life. So far nearly 598,000 memories have been posted and I have read many of them – and such beautiful poems, you wouldn’t believe, with tears in my eyes. Now we learn that Conrad Murray may be tried for involuntary manslaughter to add to the pain. New facts also add insult to injury; that the Propofol injection was unnecessary, negligent; even if Michael had asked for it, he should have said ‘No’, as his doctor, who was supposed to be caring for him. We shall have to see what happens. I kept thinking ‘Oh, Michael…

June 25th, 2009: Is the day my life was changed forever. As dramatic as it may sound, it was 10x more dramatic to feel and live to this day. I come on the internet to search for solace, comfort, some redeeming evidence out there that I’m not the ONLY ONE like this. I listen to Michael everyday. Yes, EVERYDAY. I cry almost every day. Sometimes because I’m so happy, to hear him still in his music, to watch him in his videos, to listen to him in his interviews, other days it’s because my heart cannot understand the immense pain that I feel. I would like to mention that I’ve lost people very close to me throughout life, but no one, not even my grandmother (whom I was dearly close to), compares to the emptiness I feel about him. When I fell in love with Michael at the age of 3 or 4, is when I fell in love with MUSIC. Never has an ARTIST, ENTERTAINER, performed so brilliantly for the world to see.

It pains me that MJ honored the United States of America (the land of the free?) by acting as a goodwill ambassador to our troubled world. This he willingly did with his own time and money. He already had worldwide adulation, so that could not have been his motivation. I think it’s true to say that America, which he seemed to hold in such high regard, became his worst antagonist (perhaps followed by the Brits). Why was this so? Apart from fans, the ferocity with which the seeming majority continued their unrelenting condemnation of a home-grown son is baffling. I am ashamed that our nation on the whole tormented and alienated this man on a world stage, then audaciously archived ‘Thriller’ as a national treasure. The same nation that spent taxpayers’ dollars involving the FBI to investigate (without evidence) a pop star, himself a tax-paying citizen? My God, who are we?

Our cookie cutter society couldn’t handle anyone being so different, so shy, so talented, so wealthy, so private, and so generous. If we cannot find fault in someone, it is created and then peddled as salacious truth, which–oh yeah–just happens to make lots of money for the unscrupulous. But hey, they’re journalists so it must be true, right? Tom Mesereau seems to be one of the very few ethical people in Michael Jackson’s recent history and I applaud him. Also in Germany Take Two was aired shortly after Mr. B’s “documentary.” Reactions and the publicity were definitely better than in USA, I remember well. I think, MJ’s image was always better in Europe than in the States, and the press, even the tabloids treated him with more respect. Anyway, we have to do a hard work in the fight for the truth. A common thread seems to be the many who always liked/loved Michael but only felt their feelings re-surface after he passed. I, too am guilty of this. I loved him since the J5 days and throughout the 80’s. When the allegations first came out, I felt in my heart he was innocent, just based on who he was as a person. I never, ever believed he was even capable of what they accused him of. I also am in the process of reading Aphrodite Jones’ MJ Conspiracy, but am having a hard time getting through it, as I keep breaking into tears. What he had to deal with, well, I simply don’t know what to say. Honestly, can anyone imagine being falsely accused on the world stage, being ridiculed, humiliated, scorned, laughed at the way Michael was? I don’t think it is heresy to compare his tribulations to that of Jesus. I cannot think of any other person in the world who had to deal with what he did. People like Bashir, Dimond, Orth, Nancy Grace, Jay Leno, Joy Behar, Sneddon, Arvizos, Chandlers, Diane Sawyer (incidentally who’s husband Mike Nichols supports Roman Polanski), I hope someone in your family gets falsely accused and see how you handle it! Please forgive us all, Michael, we did not deserve you.

I have a lot in common with seenitall. Like her, I grew up with Michael Jackson and have always empathized with him. I followed the trial and the first false accusation story in ‘93. I more or less forgot about him but since he died I have been obsessed. I read three books, the last being Aphrodite Jones’ “Michael Jackson Conspiracy”. I have done hours of internet searches and like seenitall I am outraged. The thing that interests me the most is how the media portrays MJ. From what I have read he was not responsible for most of the unfortunate events in his life. The public is lead to believe that due to irresponsible behaviour on his part he brought about his own “demise.” They never mention the list of characters (vultures?) involved in sullying his reputation for their own personal gain. I would love to see articles in newspapers condemning Bashir, Diane Dimond, Maureen Orth, etc. Instead we are constantly subjected to comments implying questionable moral character on the part of MJ. Makes me want to puke.

Reflecting on the year’s end and reading comments on this site, one thing is crystal clear: there is a united front concerning Michael Jackson, which he created. Commenters range from ages 10-seniors, who are multi-racial and multi-cultural. All have been touched by this one being, just as he wished to do in his lifetime. He spoke to us all in his songs – his lyrics revealed facets of his life in the only ’safe’ way he could – he shared his innermost feelings, experiences, and wisdom through his music knowing it was the only way to expose his soul, without having his words bent, altered, or taken out of context. I am as haunted today by ‘Stranger in Moscow’ as I was when it was released.

Steps MUST be taken against ‘journalistic annihilation’ of any artists, or a day will come when no one will want to become the best they can be. Who would want to become a target in return for their dedication to their craft and devotion to their cause? We simply must support a change to ensure heavy consequences for falsehoods and misrepresentations by the ‘media’.

It takes courage, determination, and much hard work to become a truly gifted celebrity, a star, an icon. It is a testament of sheer will that Michael Jackson still had so much to offer, after all that he had been subjected to. I honor him for that and his stubborn belief in humanity. He reminds me of a Japanese proverb “Fall seven times, stand up eight”. May his message remain with us always.

I am a 21 year old female who has loved michael jackson since pre-school. I have always loved his music, but it wasn’t until his death how much I realized how much I truly loved him. I never met him personally but I could not help but feel some kind of connection to him that I could not explain but it was there. Months before he died I had a feeling he was going to die. I know it sounds strange but something told me he was not going to be around much longer. When it finally happened I did not want to believe it and in some ways I am still having a hard time dealing with his death. I cried weeks after the memorial for him and when I learned about what happened during his career all the lies that were told about him I became angry sometimes but sadly that’s our world. The lie that he did not want to be black was a crock; I, as a black person myself, did not and will not believe that. I always knew he was a proud brother who had love for all people of the world.

So many people are targeting Martin Bashir and find him responsible. I see his employer as more responsible, simply because they either wanted him to do it; as he acted under their employment, or ABC condones what he did as an employee. THIS MUST BE FOLLOWED-UP with more than a petition to have him fired. I don’t think that will fly, simply because ABC is responsible for SO MUCH PERVERSE SENSATIONALISM about Michael. There must be a way to address this with more than a petition. And what of the great PBS? I have seen NO specials on Michael by our trusted public television. They are supposedly so open-minded? My 23 year old son, who discovered Michael Jackson at the age of 8, thinks I’m obsessed with MJ. It’s not so much that – I grew up with MJ and always enjoyed, admired and respected him – I’m actually obsessed with what was done to him. The J5 broke out their first single when I was a teen, so the trials and tribulations of Michael Jackson have occurred during my adulthood. I have witnessed the progression of his stardom and the fate it brought to him.

Since his passing, I have researched and done my own investigations, remembering full well through the decades, the creeping stigmas attached to this man, one at a time, starting at the pinnacle of his successes in the 80’s to this very day. I, too, have read Aphrodite Jone’s ‘Conspiracy’ and am now so outraged that I can hardly contain myself. Are we so primative in our thinking that we will just accept that our sources of ‘news’ have delapidated to the level of pond scum? ABC still has Bashir on air and it infuriates me.

I will not redeem one person, ever, because I see the mistreatment of Michael as the mistreatment of me. I am loyal. They were not. It will be and should be on their conscience for their lifetime. The deliberate distortion of the truth by Bashir regarding Michael was tabloid journalism at it’s worst. I also understand it was Bashir who requested Gavin Arvizo come back to Neverland for the filming. So Bashir started the ball rolling on that whole chain of events as well. Bashir also appeared at the subsequent trial but refused to answer questions and cowardly hid behind his ‘journalistic’ curtain. Bashir is a thoroughly despicable, dishonest character who should not still be earning a living with any media organization that has any sense of integrity. I cannot believe he had the guts to speak about Michael after 25 June and I have no doubt Bashir contributed to what happened on that day.

How Bashir has the legal right to cut and paste such an honest interview into what he felt would bring in more money and possibly be more interesting to the world instead of the honest truth. How can he be so cruel as to look into Michael’s eyes and tell him this will be a honest tell all interview. Why people are allowed to do this to a icon figure in any capacity is beyond me. Michael Jackson was a man too good for this greedy, cynical world, where professional success comes first before everything. He was the right person in the wrong time. Michael Jackson was our modern day Jesus: though he was human, he suffered similar injustice. He was defamed; his name was made trash. He was humiliated; his name was disgraced. His life was lied about; his acts were seen as those of an insane man.
