Lyrics:
Circulate the lie you confiscate
Assassinate and mutilate
The hounding media in hysteria
Who’s the next for you to resurrect
JFK exposed the CIA
Truth be told the grassy knoll
The blackmail story in all your glory
It’s Slander
You say it’s not a sword
But with your pen you torture men
You’d crucify the Lord
And you don’t have to read it
And you don’t have to eat it
To buy it is to feed it
So why do we keep foolin’ ourselves
Just because you read it in a magazine
Or see it on the TV screen
Don’t make it factual
Though everybody wants to read all about it
Just because you read it in a magazine
Or see it on the TV screen
Don’t make it factual, actual
They say he’s homosexual
In the hood
Frame him if you could
Shoot to kill
To blame him if you will
If he dies sympathize
Such false witnesses
Damn self righteousness
In the black
Stab me in the back
In the face
To lie and shame the race
Heroine and Marilyn
The headline stories of
All your glory
It’s slander
With the words you use
You’re a parasite in black and white
Do anything for news
If you don’t go and buy it
Then they won’t glorify it
To read it sanctifies it
Then why do we keep foolin’ ourselves
Just because you read it in a magazine
Or see it on the TV screen
Don’t make it factual
Everybody wants to read all about it
Just because you read it in a magazine
Or see it on the TV screen
Don’t make it factual
See, but everybody wants to believe all about it
Just because you read it in a magazine
Or see it on the TV screen
Don’t make it factual
See, but everybody wants to believe all about it
Just because you read it in a magazine
Or see it on the TV screen
Don’t make it factual, actual
She’s blonde and she’s bisexual
Scandal
With the words you use
You’re a parasite in black and white
Do anything for news
And you don’t go and buy it
Then they won’t glorify it
To read it sanctifies it
Why do we keep foolin’ ourselves
Slander
You say it’s not a sin
But with your pen you torture men
Then why do we keep foolin’ ourselves
Just because you read it in a magazine
Or see it on the TV screen
Don’t make it factual
Though everybody wants to read all about it
Just because you read it in a magazine
Or see it on the TV screen
Don’t make it factual
See, but everybody wants to believe all about it
Just because you read it in a magazine
Or see it on the TV screen
Don’t make it factual
Just because you read it in a magazine
Or see it on the TV screen
Don’t make it factual
Just because you read it in a magazine
Or see it on the TV screen
Don’t make it factual, actual
You’re so damn disrespectable

The anger coming through in Michael’s words is a justifiable culmination of years of media bashing, which defies rational explanation and borders on a violation of one’s civil rights. Yet, Michael tolerated the public onslaught with dignity when most of us would have collapsed under the pressure from a lot less, and a lot sooner. Anyone visiting this site with an open mind will begin to realize how the mainstream media’s relentless assault on Michael’s reputation eventually took a tragic toll on the quality of his life. When does it stop? When someone finally DIES? Not in the case of Michael Jackson, as the mainstream media continue their campaign to tarnish the legacy of this extraordinary…and let’s not forget…INNOCENT human being! And when they have finished picking him apart, you can be sure they will look for new targets. Who will it be next time? One of Michael’s children?…maybe all three! This will go on forever, unless something is done to raise the bar and restore a higher standard of ethics in journalism. Consider the facts and judge for yourself. A gifted entertainer and great humanitarian is dead. It’s time for US to get angry and help put respectable journalism back on the map! To all you mainstream media “journalists” out there, the concept is simple…it’s called reporting the TRUTH!

I totally agree with you. When I stand in the checkout line, the headlines just blaze. The celebrities they target are real people. They are human beings who have problems similar to you and me. To have their private lives exploited for a few dollars is ridiculous. It seems the public doesn’t want to hear anything positive. They only want dirt. The media pander to them. They instigate and lie. The dirtier it is, the more copies they sell. I applaud celebrities who take them to court and win. For them, it is not about the money; it is about principle. It’s great to hear of someone who fights back and wins! Like Michael was saying, just don’t buy it so they won’t glorify it!

Wow… I know how much they hurt him but when I heard them say he’s homosexual, I was like “what?!” My mom and brother hate him and they criticize him rudely; “he wanted to change his gender to a girl.” “They say he is gay,” “they say his first marriage was a fake to prop him up again,” “he bleached his skin.” “HE HAD VITILIGO” I say; my mom says “he bleached;” my brother says, “he bleached man;” my mom says” yeah he bleached.” The world hurt him; imagine at home when he is alone. I am so pissed off right now at the tabloids, they practically killed him.

I am so angry! I watched the news reports during his trial and it was at that time that I completely lost respect for the media. They took this gentle, kind, considerate and loving man and ripped him to threads. For what? Money. It can’t possibly get worse than this and it will continue until the public stops feeding off the junk that is sold as news. I haven’t purchased any of those magazines or papers since then and never will. Until there is a drastic change in how the media operates, I will not support them. Maybe that’s what we need to do to stop this lack of morals in mainstream media. Michael was right, it really does start with us… we can stop this by not supporting the garbage they put out. They contributed to his early death and now the hypocites are singing his praise… why? because it sells their magazines. We need to ensure that Michael’s life is the last to be lost this way.
